Chorus Kansas City Presents Inaugural Concert: Voices Rising
Chorus Kansas City, the metro’s newest large-scale community choir, is proud to announce its inaugural concert, Voices Rising, taking place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Bell Cultural Events Center at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas.
With more than 100 singers from across the Kansas City metro area, Chorus Kansas City brings together adults of all ages and backgrounds in a spirit of musical excellence, collaboration, and community connection. The choir is a non-audition ensemble open to anyone who loves to sing, making choral music more accessible and inclusive than ever before.
The debut performance will feature a stunning lineup of works by contemporary American composers, highlighted by Dan Forrest’s Jubilate Deo—a powerful and joyous major work sung in seven languages that weaves global musical influences into a cohesive celebration of unity through song.
The program will also include a diverse mix of modern choral favorites, showcasing the richness of today’s choral landscape and the passion of this brand-new ensemble. With full orchestral accompaniment and a sound as bold as the group’s vision, Voices Rising is set to be an unforgettable evening of music and inspiration.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth (ages 12 and under), and are available now at MidAmerica Nazarene University’s website.
Join us as we celebrate the launch of Chorus Kansas City and the power of voices united in song.
