Under the artistic direction of Dr. Kevin Coker, Chorus Kansas City (CKC) is a vibrant, newly established, community choir that celebrates the joy of singing and the connections it fosters. One hundred and twenty voices strong, CKC is proud to present the works of outstanding contemporary composers in addition to classic choral standards. This program features composer Dan Forrest’s seven-movement Jubilate Deo for chorus and orchestra. The orchestra is composed of musicians from the Kansas City Symphony and other local artists. Also featured will be CKC’s premier ensemble, Kansas City Chamber Singers. This group performs a wide variety of challenging musical selections, showcasing artistry and precision.
